Craig David unveils new fashion range

Craig David has launched a new fashion range in collaboration with Selfridges.

The Craig David Collection is available now in Selfridges stores in London, Birmingham and Manchester and comprises a series of T-shirts, hoodies and long-sleeved tees inspired by the Southampton singer’s music and the early UK garage scene he sprang from in 1999.

The designs (an example of which is pictured above) feature typography and imagery influenced by his lyrics and career, as well as paying a stylistic nod to flyers, album covers and the culture of the scene.

David said: “I’m really honoured to be working together with Selfridges to launch this collection. I wanted to create a fresh and exciting new clothing line for my fans that represents where I am musically today, but is also influenced by the style of where I came from.”

The launch coincides with Selfridges’ Music Matters season (June 26-October 18) celebrating the relationship between music and style, while the collection was produced in partnership with Bravado, Universal Music Group’s leading merchandise and brand management arm.

Craig David has sold 15 million albums worldwide, with 2000 debut Born To Do It his biggest selling in the UK on 1,908,423 sales, according to the Official Charts Company. Last year’s Following My Intuition has shifted 135,642 copies.
