Spotify head of music Nick Holmstén steps down

Spotify has confirmed to Music Week that head of music Nick Holmstén is stepping down from the role.

Holmstén will move over to a senior advisory role covering several areas of the company. He was previously VP of content & global head of shows & editorial

The streaming giant also confirmed that new recruit Jeremy Erlich and head of artist and label services Marian Dicus will lead the music team while a replacement is found. Erlich recently joined from Interscope as head of music strategy.

Spotify's head of global creator services Troy Carter left last year.

Global head of curation Mike Biggane exited this summer for a newly created role of EVP of music strategies and tactics.
