GENERAL PURPOSE:

To assist and support the Promoter in a very busy and fast paced environment. At all times to represent SJM Concerts in an efficient and professional manner whilst observing the confidential nature of your work, and to consistently maintain the integrity and reputation of the Promoter.

The successful candidate will need to be exceptionally organised, proficient, digitally competent, have meticulous attention to detail, and be a team player with a positive ?can do' proactive attitude.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

To act as an assistant to the promoter;

  • Communicating with venues and artist agents on behalf of the promoter
  • Pencilling & confirming dates / routing tours for shows with venues as instructed by the Promoter and/or artist agent
  • Acting on behalf of the promoter as and when instructed via email / on the phone
  • Acting as a point of contact for the promoter in their absence
  • Recording all correspondence in an efficient manner on behalf of the Promoter and for your own purposes
  • Email inbox management (Outlook)
  • Producing reports and other documentation
  • Booking of hotels and travel arrangements
  • Running a detailed diary for the Promoter, booking meetings and arranging itineraries
  • Administration of expenses
  • Managing documents on our cloud-based storage system (Sharepoint), updating contact databases, research and filing correspondence
  • To provide admin support and cover for the extended team of promoter assistants when needed
  • To treat all business matters in the strictest of confidence
  • To carry out any other duties that from time to time may be reasonably requested by the Promoter

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • At least 3-4 years previous experience in a similar role
  • First-class organisational skills including the ability to multi-task, work to deadlines, and prioritise workload
  • High levels of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Strong proven IT skills (PC) - must be highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, with a working knowledge of cloud-based storage services
  • Absolute discretion - handling sensitive data and dealing with global level clients on a daily basis
  • Ability to use own initiative, problem solve, and work independently
  • Confident, pro-active and positive attitude
  • A flexible approach, with a willingness and enthusiasm to devote time and support the team on tasks outside the immediate role remit where appropriate
  • Unflappable
  • Interested in music and the music industry
