A host of music industry executives and acclaimed artists have been paying tribute to the late Nigel Grainge, who died last week following complications from recent surgery.

One of the most revered executives in the industry, Grainge, older brother of Universal Music Group CEO Sir Lucian Grainge, started his career in the mid-1970s, launching his own label, Ensign Records, and working closely with the likes of the Boomtown Rats, 10cc, The Waterboys, Thin Lizzy and many more.
