BMG acquires Big Bang & Fuzz

BMG has acquired Big Bang & Fuzz (BBF), the leading Asia-Pacific production music house, to further expand its BMG Production Music business unit.

BBF is one of the largest independent production music companies in the Asia-Pacific region, focusing their business on sub-publishing premium international catalogues. France’s AXS and the UK’s Altitude & Must Save June are some of their recent additions.

The move to BMG brings the number of territories with a BMG Production Music office presence to six – the US, UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, and Australia.

Following the deal, BBF founder Andrew Jones will become VP BMG Production Music of the Asia Pacific region, moving to BMG’s Sydney offices and reporting to MD Geert-Willem Koolhof.

Jones said: “This is a win-win deal for all concerned. Our clients will get access to the vast BMG Production Music catalogue, my staff get the benefit and support of being part of a significant international company, our existing family of labels gets added support, resources, and growth, and BMG gets what we honestly believe is the best, most client-focused production music team in the region.”

This move follows a period of rapid growth and global appointments for BMG Production Music, since their 2017 launch.
