BMG promotes Allegra Wills Knerr to film & TV VP

BMG has promoted Allegra Willis Knerr to VP, film & TV Licensing.

Based in Los Angeles, Willis Knerr will be responsible for overseeing the operations and direction of the newly restructured BMG US film & TV licensing department. She will report directly to Patrick Joest, global EVP, licensing & marketing, and work alongside Alex Flores, who oversees US film & TV marketing.

Joest said: “With Allegra’s profound knowledge of both the film and TV licensing business and the company’s catalogue, she has been instrumental in constantly delivering on BMG’s commitment of being an exceptionally transparent and fair service provider to artist and synch clients alike. Over the last years she has played an invaluable part of building and growing the US film & TV licensing team to what it is today and we are confident this success story is going to continue.”

Joining Bug Music in 2009, prior to BMG’s acquisition in 2011, Willis Knerr was promoted to director and co-head, film & TV licensing in 2013 and senior director, film & TV Llicensing in 2015. 

Following Willis Knerr’s promotion, BMG has also made further appointments in its film & TV licensing team: Megan Goldstein to senior director, Chris Etscheid to senior director, administration, and Corey Brulé to senior manager.
