"He's developing a roster of budding global superstars": Eesean Bolden promoted to SVP, A&R, Warner Bros Records

Warner Bros Records co-chairman & CEO Aaron Bay-Schuck has today (October 15) announced the promotion of Eesean Bolden to senior vice president, A&R. The promotion marks the first A&R move from Bay-Schuck since taking assuming his role (operating alongside co-chairman and COO Tom Corson) at the start of the month. Bay-Schuck was one of Max Lousada’s own first hires back in October 2017 but it took almost a year for him to move over from his role as Interscope Geffen A&M president, A&R.

Speaking about the appointment, Bay-Schuck said: “Eesean has done an incredible job of developing an artist roster of budding global superstars and he’s truly earned this promotion. He is the first of many exciting moves as we build our A&R team into the very best and most creative force in the industry. Our commitment to artists will be stronger than ever.”

Bolden added: “Since arriving at Warner Bros Records two years ago, it has been my mission to sign, develop and break a diverse group of exceptional, culturally relevant artists in the urban space. This label has long been known as an artist-driven company, and that feels even more true today. I want to thank Max Lousada, Aaron Bay-Schuck, Tom Corson and the fantastic WBR team for their support of our artists and their music. I feel incredibly excited for the future and I look forward to delivering more hits!”

Bolden had previously served as vice president, A&R, Warner Bros Records since September 2016, signing Lil Pump (Gucci Gang, Esskeetit, I Love It with Kanye West) via a deal with Tha Lights Global; YFN Lucci (Everyday We Lit) via a deal with Think It’s A Game; and viral sensation Saweetie (Icy Grl). Bolden’s recent signings include the duo Armon & Trey and Phora.

Prior to his arrival at Warner Bros Records, Bolden spent a year at Epic Records in LA. He began his major label career at Capitol Records, where he signed multi-platinum breakout rapper Silentó and singer/songwriter Mary Lambert.
