Major’s president says busy release schedule key to maintaining No.1 spot

Ted Cockle has told Music Week the UK’s No.1 label is continuing to go from strength to strength as it enters a busy period for album releases.

Virgin EMI is currently the
No.1 record company in the UK on both Artist Albums AES (9.5%)
and All Albums AES (9.6%) for the year-to-date, according to Official Charts Company data.
