'It is important that we have a leading team in France': AWAL appoints Delphine Ferre marketing director

AWAL has hired Delphine Ferre as marketing director, France. Based in Paris, Ferre will oversee international artist marketing and strategy for AWAL artists and labels.

Kobalt’s record label has been expanding internationally and recently opened an office in Canada.

Ferre has more than 20 years of music industry experience. She recently spent three years as global vice president, artist marketing at Deezer. Sulinna Ong has also left the streaming company’s artist marketing leadership team.

At Deezer, Ferre oversaw relationships with labels and managers, playlists strategies and content creation. Prior to that she was the international marketing director at Columbia Records and worked with artists such as Beyonce, Pharrell Williams, Kasabian and MGMT. She started her career in music at Sony Music as a project manager.
