Kobalt's recording company AWAL signs band The Night Café

Liverpool band The Night Café have signed to Kobalt’s recording company.

The indie quartet have done a long-term, worldwide deal with AWAL Recordings, following the release of two EPs with the organisation.

The agreement includes a full range of services, including global marketing, campaign coordination, synch licensing and global physical and digital distribution.

“We're delighted to cement a longer term deal with The Night Café,” said AWAL’s VP A&R, Matt Riley.

“Over the past couple of years myself, Zoe Warshaw and the team here at AWAL have been bringing them up through the gears in what is a fantastic artist development story for us. They join an ever growing bunch of artists finding success on their own terms, retaining control of their copyrights whilst accessing AWAL's global team and expertise to empower their career.”

Formed in 2015 The Night Café released 2017 Get Away From The Feeling and this year’s Bunkbed with Kobalt and then AWAL, gaining streams in excess of 20 million for the releases.

Kobalt launched AWAL with a $150 million investment earlier this year, which AWAL followed-up by acquiring radio promotion and marketing company In2une in June
