'My focus is on building careers': Tim Pithouse heads up artist & label services at The Orchard

The Orchard has named Tim Pithouse global head of artist & label services. The appointment is effective November 1 and he will report to Brad Navin, CEO of The Orchard

Pithouse will be responsible for expanding the company’s artist & label services capabilities around the world, and driving greater global visibility and reach for artist releases. Global artist/label services has become an increasingly competitive market with key players including Kobalt/AWAL, Caroline International and ADA

Music Week understands the enhancement of The Orchard’s global artists and label services operation will involve signing more new and established acts, as well as building on its sales, marketing and creative offering with further expansion into radio promotion, PR and production. 

Based in New York, Pithouse will establish a presence for his team in all key territories, as well as developing and marketing artists internationally. His role will be to execute impactful sales and marketing campaigns across The Orchard’s global network. 

The Orchard, which has a presence in more than 40 territories, is working with acts including South Korean boy band phenomenon BTS and UK breakthrough artist Jorja Smith

My focus is on building careers and driving artist awareness internationally, and I look forward to helping provide The Orchard’s artists and labels with highly effective, efficient and creative solutions for reaching fan bases worldwide.”  

Pithouse joins The Orchard from Sony Music Australia where he served as general manager, international marketing and artist development. He began his career with Sony Music in 2006 as a digital services account manager and over the years has held a number of roles in marketing and artist development within the company. Over his career he has played a key role in Australian campaigns for artists including Alicia Keys, Amy Shark, Calvin Harris, Daft Punk, David Bowie, Future, George Ezra, Khalid, Mark Ronson, Pink, Travis Scott and Tash Sultana.
