Positiva teams up with YouTube channel Selected to release Jay Pryor EP

Positiva has teamed-up with YouTube channel Selected on a new EP by Jay Pryor.

The Dublin DJ and producer’s track Make Luv is out today (November 9). The Finding Our Way EP, due for release in early 2019, is the subject of a joint venture between the artist, label and YouTube dance music community.

“We’re incredibly excited to see what the combined forces of a growingly influential brand that is Selected, and an established but forward-thinking label in Positiva can lead to,” said Positiva. “Teaming-up in this way is unprecedented and we look forward to seeing how effective it can be in pushing forward artists as talented as Jay Pryor. Jay is an artist we strongly believe in and cherish, and we believe collaboration in this way can only help in bringing his music to the masses.”

Selected, which has nearly 2 million subscribers on YouTube, suggested the partnership could be a new pathway for breaking acts within the dance music genre.

“The combination of one of the most influential tastemaker channels for house music with one of the most revered brands in dance music of all time will create a striking force in breaking artists,” said Selected. “We cannot wait to start using all our tools and experience to bring Jay Pryor to his deserved destination.”

The EP includes the reworking of Room 5's Make Luv, a former No.1 for Positiva in 2003. The Virgin EMI label recently marked its 25th anniversary and promoted long-term label head Jason Ellis to MD.

Positiva is currently enjoying chart success with Marshmello feat. Bastille and Jonas Blue.
