Verve Label Group makes two senior promotions

The Verve Label Group has promoted two of its senior executives.

Jamie Krents has been named executive vice president, Verve and Impulse!, while Dahlia Ambach Caplin becomes senior vice president of artist & repertoire for Verve and Impulse!

In his expanded role, Krents will lead and oversee the imprints of Verve Records, Verve Forecast and Impulse! Records, plus their catalogues, as he works alongside president of Universal Music Classics, US Graham Parker.

Caplin will continue to develop and sign artists for Verve Records, Verve Forecast and Impulse!.

“Jamie is the heart and soul of Verve, having played a major role in the label’s successes over the past two decades. His knowledge of music is exceptional and his relationships with artists are truly special, founded on trust and mutual respect. Verve is in great hands,” explained Dickon Stainer, president and CEO of global classics and jazz and Verve Label Group.

“Dahlia is a force of nature. Her reputation precedes her because she’s always at the forefront of new sounds, new artists and new cultural trends. Her ear is bar-none one of the best in the business. Verve and Impulse! will continue to grow and establish a tremendous legacy under her A&R direction.”

Stainer himself was promoted to take control of The Verve Label Group earlier this year with both jazz and classical at the major coming under his remit.
