Close encounters of the live kind: ILMC launches 30th edition

Organisers of the International Live Music Conference (ILMC) have launched the event’s 30th edition, complete with a close encounters theme.

The invitation-only conference will see over 1,000 delegates, comprising booking agents, promoters, festival organisers, venue operators and related professionals from more than 60 countries, head to London's Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington from March 6-9. 

“With its ongoing mission to maintain peace and harmony among the live music worlds, ILMC 30 will feature more meetings, events, networking and out of body experiences than ever,” says conference head Greg Parmley.

ILMC returns to its new midweek format in 2018, and plans to celebrate its milestone edition include a UFO-themed Blast-off party on Tuesday, March 6.

Companies supporting ILMC 30 include Live Nation, Ticketmaster, CTS Eventim, DEAG, Showsec, Malaysia Major Events, AirX, Eventbrite, United Talent Agency, WME Entertainment, eps, Emporium Presents, Feld Entertainment, Green Copper and Buma Cultuur.

The Arthur Awards – the live music industry’s equivalent of the Oscars – will be presented during a Gala Dinner at 8 Northumberland Avenue on Thursday, March 8.
