Field Day reveals new location for 2018

Field Day has announced it will be moving to Brockwell Park in South London, after 11 years in Victoria Park in East London.

Lambeth Council be working with the organisers to help host the event from June 1-2.

Marcus Weedon, Field Day co-founder, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting Field Day 2018 in South London.

“We look forward to working with Lambeth Council, residents, local businesses and stakeholder groups to ensure the event in Brockwell Park is a huge success and lay the foundation for what we hope is our home for many years to come.”

Brockwell Park is known for hosting iconic music events, such as Rock Against Racism in 1978, which saw Elvis Costello and the Attractions as headliners. The Fall, Grace Jones and Yoko Ono have also staged performances in the South London park.

The park was due to hold Lovebox and Citadel this year. However, both festivals have now moved to West London’s Gunnersbury Park
