Troxy to host 'immersive' Rolling Stones cinema screening

East London's Troxy is to be transformed for an immersive cinema screening of The Rolling Stones' Havana Moon concert.

In association with the Stones and Eagle Rock Entertainment, immersive specialist Revive At Studio 5 is bidding to "revive" the atmosphere from the show through large-scale set design, immersive method actors, dancers and Cuban-themed food and cocktails.

The famous 2016 show was attended by half a million people and will be screened at Troxy on Friday, September 7.

Tom Clark, director at Revive at Studio 5, said: “We love live music and know that the collective experience of those who attend these seminal gigs form memories for life.

"We want to give more people the chance to live these incredible music events with hundreds of other fans, in an immersive fun and creative environment. From the moment people arrive, they will be transported from the streets of London to the streets of Cuba.”

Revive At Studio 5 was created in 2017 to screen and re-live iconic music concerts in an immersive environment.

Fellow director Andy Cuthbert added: "Technology is enabling people to truly immerse themselves in experiences, and this event will feel like watching The Rolling Stones perform to over 500,000 concert-goers in Havana.

"Having teamed up with the best industry professionals to make it possible, ticket buyers can rest assured that there will be full concert sound, second-to-none lighting and an atmosphere you’ll be left talking about for weeks.”
