United action: Festivals vow zero tolerance in awareness campaign

Organisers of a 24-hour website “blackout” by UK festivals to promote increased awareness of sexual assault have told Music Week the campaign sends a “very strong message” ahead of this year’s festival season.

More than 25 festival websites, including Bestival, Boomtown Fair, End Of The Road, Parklife and Secret Garden Party, will be “blacked out” for 24 hours today (May 8).
