As likely openings to Halifax adverts go, the famous cry of “We got one!” from the Ghostbusters films is way down the list. But that’s precisely what happens in the high street bank’s new spot, as the ‘busters’ secretary Janine Melnitz (as played by Annie Potts) takes a call about her new contactless payment card.

Footage from the film is superimposed onto scenes with Halifax employee Greg, who also appeared in the company’s Wizard Of Oz ad earlier this year.
