The Production Music Awards set to return in November

The Production Music Awards in association with MCPS Production Music has announced it will return on Friday November 24. This year’s awards are met with support from both PRS For Music and MCPS Production Music and aim to showcase the quality of modern production music to larger sync, media and advertising industries.

Simon James, head of MCPS Production Music commented: “Last year’s PMAs were a triumph and we’re thrilled to continue our support of this positive event, showcasing the fabulous, high quality music our industry consistently produces.”

Entries for the awards are now open, with a closing date of September 1. More information about submissions can be found online.

Tune Up, an event for composers, musicians and producers - which also takes place on November 2 - will precede the Production Music Awards. It will be held at BFI Southbank during the daytime in anticipation of the PMAs.

Last year’s Tune Up saw a presentation by Academy Award-winning composer Dario Marianelli (Atonement, Kubo and the Two Strings) and workshops led by cellist Peter Gregson (Wonder Woman, Churchill) and composer Rael Jones (My Cousin Rachel) among many others. The speakers and sessions for this year’s Tune Up are to be announced shortly.

Tickets for the Production Music Awards are available now at www.productionmusicawards.com.
