Top of the Pops has revealed the line-up for the two Christmas Day and New Year’s specials.
The BBC One show, which is revived for the festive season, will be hosted by Fearne Cotton and BBC Radio 1’s Clara Amfo.
The one-hour specials will celebrate British pop artists of the past year and international acts. The line-up for the Christmas show includes 2018 breakthrough star Anne-Marie, George Ezra, Jess Glynne, Rita Ora, Sigrid, Jonas Blue with Liam Payne & Lennon Stella and Tom Walker, alongside emerging chart star Freya Ridings.
The show returns several days later for a New Year’s special, culminating with the last No.1 of the year. Artists will include some of the same line-up, alongside B Young, Christine And The Queens, Critics’ Choice nominee Lewis Capaldi, Mabel, Tom Grennan, Tom Odell & Rae Morris and Years & Years.
Fearne Cotton said: “Top of the Pops has become a special annual tradition for many and I can’t wait to be back with Clara watching some of the biggest names in pop perform their big hits of the year.”
Clara Amfo added: “Getting to present the television that we’ve all watched as kids will never not be a joy for me and I’m so very happy to be back with Fearne for Top of the Pops this festive season, see you from your sofa!”
Top of the Pops Christmas will air on BBC One on December 25 at 12.30pm, followed by the New Year edition on December 29 at 5.10pm.
