Atlas Music Publishing expands to 'strengthen foundation in urban music'

Atlas Music Publishing

Atlas Music Publishing have recruited Warner Music Group A&R Latoya Lee to be its new VP of creative.

Lee, who signed reggae artist Kranium and R&B singer-songwriter Sabrina Claudio in her previous role, as well as working on the label’s soundtracks for Fast & Furious 7 & 8 and Suicide Squad, has been tasked with “strengthening Atlas’ foundation in urban music”.

“Atlas is in growth mode,” explained Atlas’ founder and CEO Richard Stumpf. “Urban music is arguably the most critical genre today. It was imperative that we partnered with someone who brings an ear for finding great talent and the hustle to work writers once they are in the family. We searched for eight months and it was worth the wait. Latoya has proven her creative chops, is a go getter and is the perfect fit for Atlas.”

Atlas, which was founded in 2013, currently includes Van Halen, Brian Howes and Dan The Automator on its roster, while it also represents songs performed by the likes of Drake, Madonna, Al Green, John Legend and Ed Sheeran.
