Harriet Moss named MD of Manners McDade

Harriet Moss has been promoted to the role of managing director at Manners McDade.

Moss’ new position will build on her previous role as global creative manager, where she oversaw the company’s strategy across sync, A&R and creative services worldwide since 2014.

The company has been expanding its creative and international teams over the past few years and Moss’ promotion coincides with two new additions to the creative team: music & composer producer Jenna Fentimen and creative & sync executive Clare Everson. Fentimen joins from music supervision company Wake The Town to manage bespoke compositions, while Everson moved from Warner Music UK to manage sync briefs, licensing and the creative services company roster.

Catherine Manners, founder of Manners McDade and board member of the UK MPA, said: “I never thought I would find someone who I could trust so implicitly with my business – but Harriet Moss is an extraordinary young woman and I’m incredibly proud of her.”

Moss has a background in PR, sync and brand building for contemporary classical, alternative and electronic labels and artists including Max Richter, Ben Frost, Nils Frahm and These New Puritans. She is also the creative director for in-house label Cognitive Shift Recordings, as well as London director for the leading voluntary international Women in music network, shesaid.so. The network provides mentorship and regular events and has collaborated with Boiler Room, Spotify, Live Nation and Bestival.

Moss hosts Soho Radio’s Soho Classical show. She currently sits on the jury for the 2018 Production Music Awards and 2018 Classical:Next festival.

The Manners McDade group of companies provide composer management, music publishing, sync and creative services, specialising in new classical and electronic music. In 2016, Cognitive Shift Recordings launched in partnership with One Little Indian Records.

Last year, Manners McDade Creative Services launched to offer classical and electronic music artists an international promotion strategy combining sync expertise with experience in PR and marketing. Clients include German neo-classical label Neue Meister, Sony Classical, Christian Löffler’s label Ki Records and ECM.

In the past year, there have been album releases from the company’s publishing roster including All Melody by Nils Frahm and Resolve by Poppy Ackroyd. Upcoming albums in 2018 include releases by Max Cooper, AVA (Anna Phoebe & Aisling Brouwer) and John Metcalfe.
