Ivor Novello Awards announce date change for 2018

The 63rd Ivor Novello Awards will take place a week later than usual next year, BASCA in association with PRS for Music has announced.

The prestigious event, which celebrates, honours and rewards excellence in songwriting and composing, will be on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane.

The annual event usually falls during the third week of May, with this year’s ceremony taking place on May 18.

Skepta, Pulp and Gary Numan were among the winners at this year’s event, for a full rundown click here.

The awards were created by BASCA – British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors – and have been sponsored by PRS for Music for the last 43 years.

The ceremony honours British songwriters and composers via categories exclusively judged by songwriters and composers.
