Universal Production Music UK signs deal with Liquid Cinema

Universal Production Music UK has signed a production music deal with licensing company Liquid Cinema.

The company licenses tracks for use in film, trailers, television, sports, commercials and various other uses, works with composers, producers and songwriters. It includes the Liquid Cinema Music Library, and Inside Tracks, which provides music for TV, adverts and digital needs, among its catalogue.

"We are incredibly excited that Universal Production Music will be working with us in the UK. We began our catalogue in the UK and we are thrilled to have the best home there now," said Liquid Cinema founder Jeff Rona. "Their wide reach and tremendous reputation in the media world is second to none. We are focused on the emotional power of music, and Universal gets that."

Welcoming the latest addition to Universal Publishing Production Music’s expansive catalogue, managing director Jane Carter praised the firm whose credits recently included the trailer music for Star Wars: Rogue One.

"Jeff and his team are a credit to the production music world," she said. "With their high production value and in-depth understanding of how producers and editors work, they have created an impressive catalogue that we are very proud to represent."

Earlier this year Universal Production Music announced a shake-up in its leadership structure, making a series of key appointments.
