Ariana Grande's One Last Time reaches new chart peak after fan campaign

Ariana Grande’s One Last Time has reached a new peak in the singles chart following the terrorist attack at her concert at Manchester Arena earlier this week.

Fans orchestrated an online campaign to buy the track as a show of support to the victims of the attack. Taken from the singer’s second album, 2014’s My Everything, it originally peaked at No.24 and re-enters the Top 40 at No.11, with sales of 30,618. It was positioned outside the Top 200 in Wednesday’s Official Charts Company Midweek Sales Flash.

The song came close to reaching No.1 on the UK iTunes chart too, losing out to Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s Despacito to hit No.2.

Grande’s latest album, 2016’s Dangerous Woman, also climbs the albums chart, rising 32 places to No.30. Dangerous Woman peaked at No.1 and has sold 136,812 copies to date, while My Everything is Grande’s biggest-selling UK album, having shifted 219,564 copies. With sales of 688,126 copies so far, Into You is the star’s biggest-selling single.

Yesterday it was confirmed that Grande had suspended her UK and European tour following the Manchester tragedy. Manchester Arena and the Concert Promoters Association condemned the attacks as "senseless".
