Playing the long (player) game: Biz faces up to albums chart churn

Just eight albums released in 2017 have held their grip on the Top 20 for at least 10 weeks, Music Week analysis has revealed.

While three debut artists – Rag’N’Bone Man, Stormzy and Dua Lipa – are among those who managed the feat, the lack of enduring hit albums has intensified the focus on the album format in the streaming age.
