Rachel Bolland has been hired from Transgressive Management as UK Music’s new director of operations.
Bolland, who was management coordinator at Transgressive, replaces Ele Hill - who leaves for a senior role within the music industry - from November 5.
The trade body has also promoted Felicity Oliver to head of diversity and Tom Kiehl to deputy CEO.

She brings a wealth of senior level experience from the independent music sector and has a proven track record of getting things done. “I’m also pleased to promote Felicity Oliver. She is a superb campaigner who, in addition to her responsibilities in public affairs and events, will make an excellent head of diversity, which is an ongoing and massive priority for us at UK Music.
“Finally, no one commands more respect in the music industry, Westminster and Whitehall than Tom Kiehl. His promotion to deputy CEO is well-deserved and frankly long overdue.

Kiehl joined UK Music over six years ago and will retain his oversight as director of public affairs. He will also oversee UK Music’s research, policy, skills and education work-streams and budgets. Prior to joining UK Music, he was the senior political and parliamentary adviser in the House of Lords and was a founding architect of the Live Music Act 2012.
Oliver will also head up parliamentary affairs and events. She worked on Department for Digital Culture Media and Sport issues at the Policy Research Unit in Parliament.
