MIDEM 2017 will take place in Cannes from Tuesday, June 6 to Friday, June 9, it has been announced.
More than 600 labels and 85 countries were represented at this year’s conference, but attendance was down to 4,400 from 5,500 in 2015.
“Since we moved Midem to the summer in 2015, our clients have expressed their satisfaction with the early June dates,” said Jérôme Delhaye, director of Reed MIDEM’s Entertainment division. “We are happy to bring the international music industry together when Cannes is at its best.”
Delhaye, who laughed off rumours the event would relocate to Barcelona, replaced Bruno Crolot in the role following last year's MIDEM.
