Jennifer Ivory promoted to GM at Warner Bros. UK

Warner Bros. Records UK has promoted Jennifer Ivory to the role of general manager.

Ivory, who was previously VP, marketing, reports to label president Phil Christie.

Her promotion is in recognition of her work on campaigns from breakthrough artist Dua Lipa, as well as Royal Blood, Muse, Liam Gallagher, Biffy Clyro, Foals, Michael Bublé and Green Day. In her new role, she will continue to steer artist marketing as well as digital and creative content.

Over the last 18 months, she has directed marketing campaigns that have seen Dua Lipa become the most streamed female artist of 2017. Under her watch, Royal Blood secured their second consecutive No.1 album and she was in charge of marketing for the launch of Liam Gallagher as a solo recording artist, which produced one of the biggest first week sales of the year.

Phil Christie said: “Warner Bros. Records UK continues to evolve at an exciting pace. In part that’s thanks to Jen’s innovative approach to marketing and I’m pleased to recognise her work with this well-deserved promotion. She’s been a driving force behind Warner Bros. marketing for a number of years, bringing important cultural moments, creativity and ambition to every campaign, as well as some impressive results for our artists. We have more brilliant new music coming this year and I’m glad Jen will play a significant role in supporting our artists and their success."

Jennifer Ivory added: “Warner Bros. Records is an exciting and rewarding place to work. I’d like to thank Phil for this opportunity and the marketing team for their passion and support. We have some fantastic talent coming through, both within the label and the artists we work with, and I look forward to helping to develop their careers’.”

Ivory joined Warner Music in 2009, and was promoted to VP, marketing for Warner Bros. in 2014. She previously worked at Sanctuary Group as VP, marketing, and helped launch the frontline label.

A&R, radio and shared services will continue reporting into Christie. In addition, Sebastian Simone has been named head of digital strategy for the label. Continuing to report into Ivory, Simone will be responsible for advising on digital and social marketing for artists.
