Music industry legend Seymour Stein has been confirmed as one of the keynote speakers for next month's Eurosonic Noorderslag.
The Sire Records boss (pictured), famed for discovering artists such as Madonna, Talking Heads, The Ramones and The Pretenders, will be interviewed at the event on Saturday, January 14. Dutch guitarist Jan Akkerman will be a special guest.
The conference and new music festival takes place in Groningen, the Netherlands, from January 11-14.
Earlier this week, it was announced that the Lifetime Achievement Award at the European Festival Awards, which take place at Groningen's De Oosterpoort on January 11, the first night of Eurosonic, will be posthumusly awarded to the late Daniel Panaitescu, curator of Hungary's Sziget Festival. Panaitescu died in a car accident in July, aged 60.
