Music Week will shortly be announcing this year’s Women In Music Roll Of Honour, highlighting a dozen of the music business’ most important and influential female executives from across every sector of the music industry.

Alongside the seven individual awards – Outstanding Contribution, Businesswoman Of The Year, Inspirational Artist, Campaigner, Media Pioneer, Rising Star and the new PRS Foundation New Artist Award – the Roll Of Honour showcases the sheer depth of talent within the industry, and often signposts those on their way to even greater things.

So, Capitol Records SVP of A&R Jo Charrington was on the Roll Of Honour in 2014, and won the Businesswoman Of The Year gong the following year.

Emma Banks also appeared on the roll in that opening year, before being voted our Outstanding Contribution winner in 2015.

And Julie Weir, who appeared on the Roll in its first year while at indie Visible Noise, is now heading up Sony Music’s legendary metal label, Music For Nations.

This Thursday (October 6), our headline sponsors Live Nation Entertainment will host a special meet-up for Women In Music winners past and present.

It’ll be a chance to network and celebrate ahead of the main event at London’s Royal Garden Hotel on November 11.

We’ll hope to see many of you there. But, in the meantime, let’s look back and celebrate the 42 amazing women to have graced the Roll Of Honour to date.
