Still No.1 on streams and No.3 on paid-for sales, Post Malone’s Rockstar (feat. 21 Savage) spends its third week atop the singles chart, denying Camila Cabello’s Havana (feat. Young Thug) the opportunity to reach a new peak for the ninth week in a row.
In fact, Rockstar actually increases the margin of its victory from 23.78% to 30.38%, with sales of 51,374 in the week, of which 40,413 are from sales-equivalent streams.
Havana, meanwhile, is off fractionally (0.12%) week-on-week at 39,403 sales, of which 25,779 are from streams.
Although its sales are off 14.44% at 30,836, Sam Smith’s Too Good At Goodbyes continues at No.3.
Up for the eighth week in a row, Marshmello’s Silence (feat. Khalid) finally makes the Top 10, scooting 17-9 (23,674 sales).
Her mother Neneh Cherry, her uncle Eagle-Eye Cherry and her half-brother Marlon Roudette have all had Top 10 hits...and now it’s the turn of Mabel, whose introductory hit, Finders Keepers (feat. Kojo Funds) climbs for the seventh week in a row, advancing 19-10 (23,604 sales).
After two weeks at No.5, Lonely Together resumes its upwards momentum for Avicii feat. Rita Ora, advancing to No.4 (29,512 sales). Reaching a new peak for the sixth week in a row, Stefflon Don & French Montana’s Hurtin’ Me moves 9-7 (24,728 sales).
CNCO & Little Mix’s Reggaeton Lento collaboration has been in the chart for nine weeks... Three of them at No.7, three of them at No.6 and three of them at No.5. Rising 7-5 (28,943 sales), it thus matches the peak it scaled on debut eight weeks ago, and returned to three weeks ago. Dusk Till Dawn (6-6, 27,264 sales) by Zayn feat. Sia and Mi Gente (8-8, 24,597 sales) by J Balvin & Willy William complete the Top 10.
Exiting the Top 10 are 1-800-273-8255 (10-13, 21,821 sales) by Logic feat. Alessia Cara & Khalid and ACR casualty New Rules (4-16, 18,875 sales) by Dua Lipa.
Pink’s Beautiful Trauma debuts atop the album chart and spins off another couple of chart entries, with Eminem collaboration Revenge the week’s highest new entry at No.33 (10,238 sales), while the album’s title track opens at No.57 (6,330 sales). Both derive the majority of their sales from streams of the album, which also benefits the set’s first single, What About Us, 20-15 (19,236 sales). The track - which peaked at No.3 - would actually be at No.5 with 29,426 sales this week had it not been hit by ACR a fortnight ago. Pink has now had 33 Top 75 hits and Eminem 49 (including five with D12).
Former N-Dubz star Dappy has had just one hit in the last five years but makes an unheralded return to chart duty with the stripped-back single Spotlight. It was, he tweeted recently, ‘written at a tough time in my life’. Sadly it opens on a rather unexceptional No.56 (6,337 sales). Also new to the chart are High End (No.71, 4,957 sales) by Chris Brown feat. Future & Young Thug, Tell Me (No.73, 4,918 sales) by Wretch 32 feat. Kojo Funds & Jahlani and We Could Go Back (No.74, 4,913 sales) by Jonas Blue feat. Moelogo.
Post Malone’s 2016 album Stoney enters the Top 10 for the first time this week, while there are new peaks for two of its tracks, namely I Fall Apart (22-19, 16,026 sales) and Quavo collaboration Congratulations (27-26, 11,785 sales). A third track from the album - Go Flex - would debut at No.63 (5,503 sales) but with Rockstar (not on the album) at No.1, Malone has already used up his allowance of three tracks as primary artist.

Paid-for sales are down 0.50% week -on-week at 1,135,288, and are 28.27% below same week 2016 sales of 1,582,623. They are below same-week, previous-year sales for the 220th week in a row.
