Ministry of Sound has announced the opening of The Ministry, which combines a private members’ club and a curated collaborative workspace in a Victorian warehouse on London’s Southwark Borough Road.
The community working in the space will be selected from creative companies and professionals working in music, culture, media and technology.
Lohan Presencer, chairman of Ministry of Sound, said: “The people we grew up with are now the founders and CEOs of start-ups and established businesses. The Ministry is for these people, for independent creatives who light the sparks that become cultural wildfires.”
The Ministry includes an immersive technology studio, soundproof production suites, serviced meeting rooms and a 36-seater cinema.
Prescenser added: ‘“The Ministry will be a stark contrast to the generic glass box offices, bored receptionists, bad coffee and gratuitous beer taps which have become synonymous with bland co-working spaces around the world.”
The Ministry, which is based near Ministry Of Sound’s nightclub, will also serve as an events space with a serviced outdoor courtyard.
