Ministry Of Sound has taken the unusual step of opening its very own gymnasium, located in a ‘previously hidden booze vault’ within the Elephant and Castle nightclub.
The MoS gym, dubbed The Arches, was spearheaded by revered personal trainer Harry Jameson, handpicked a team of trainers who will deliver six days a week. The purpose built facility features a selection of gym equipment, including treadmills, kettlebells, weights, TRX and benches.
As one may expect from one of the world’s most iconic clubbing venues, the MoS gym will pay particular attention to its musical output. Using the same sound system as the club, The Arches claims it will never play the same playlist twice. Special class playlists have been specially curated to fit the various exercises and classes on offer.
“We’re ripping up the rule book,” said Ministry Does Fitness general manager, Olivia Brafman. “Life is all about balance and not slaving away in the gym with only a carrot at the finish line. We want our customers to come to The Arches to sweat their arses off, have fun and celebrate a good work out at the bar where the party continues. It’s all about the experience, the social and leaving on a high.”
The Arches is open now with classes available at a cost of £14 per session.
