Amazon Music have launched a new, weekly emerging artist promotion in the UK. The Weekly One will showcase a single song from an emerging artist each week.
The slot, which began in the US, has been expanded to the British version of the streaming service.
"Weekly One further reinforces Amazon Music’s commitment to new music, and introducing our customers to artists we think will go on to become some of their favourites," a spokesperson explained.
Macklemore collaborator, R&B act Dan Caplen is the first UK Weekly One, going live on Amazon Music today (June 15).
While Amazon Music continue to develop their own platform, Amazon gobally have also been collaborating more widely with other streaming services, announcing in March a partnership with Deezer to optimise the platform for its Alexa voice control system in 66 countries.
