DistroKid launches low-cost music video distribution service DistroVid

DistroKid has launched DistroVid, a music video distribution service. 

The distribution platform enables any artist to upload an unlimited number of music videos to leading digital service providers for a set price.

DistroVid’s launch partners include Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal and Vevo, with more digital service providers expected to come online in the coming months. 

DistroKid claims to be the first music distributor to offer unlimited music video uploads at such a low cost. As with audio distribution, DistroKid pays artists 100% of their earnings. 

“Many streaming services have begun playing music videos, in addition to audio, which has been great for listeners and major label artists,” said Philip Kaplan, founder and CEO of DistroKid. “But up until now there hasn’t been a great way for independent artists to get their music videos into these services. Our new music video service, called DistroVid, makes it super easy and affordable for independent artists to get their music videos everywhere.”

With DistroVid, any artist can upload as many music videos as they want to multiple streaming services for $99.
