Facebook has launched music in seven new countries in EMEA, and is rolling out the availability of interactive video products across the region.
Music is now available on Facebook and Instagram in The Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Romania and Slovakia. It brings the total to over 30 countries.
User in these countries will now have the ability to include music from a catalogue of international and local songs in the personal videos they create and share.
Spirit Music Group
Spirit Music Group has announced a series of key executive moves within its A&R, sync and global administration departments. The company has appointed Nancy Matalon to VP, A&R; promoted Melanie Santa Rosa to SVP, global administration; and appointed Tamar Wax to senior director, Film/TV.

CD Baby
CD Baby has expanded into India with the hiring of a representative in the country. Ritnika Nayan, who managed a large festival and her own music company, will also represent CD Baby’s sister companies, including DashGo.
“India has some of the richest music cultures in the world and artists are eagerly looking for opportunities to share their creativity with audiences around the globe,” said Heli Del Moral, VP of international development at CD Baby. “We encourage artists to stay independent and to access our world-class promotion tools to help them propel their music careers.”
Sentric
Rosie Hill has been named global head of synchronisation for the company, from her previous role as head of sync, advertising. Hill Joined Sentric in 2017 after running the sync team at Imagem (Concord) for the best part of a decade.
Patrick Cloherty has been promoted to head of UK sync services, having been at Sentric since 2012, initially joining as an intern. He makes the move from senior catalogue manager.
The company has also hired Ryan Williams-Reid, who joins as sync executive. Internal movements include Philip Morris, who moves from Sentric’s rights management team to the position of sync executive. Laura Duke also steps up to the position of sync assistant. Leon Calveley remains a core part of the team as synchronisation manager.
Global
James Rea, Global’s new director of broadcasting, has announced further key positions within his senior programming team. Greg Hughes is promoted to group head of programming operations. Mark Findlay is promoted to group head of music relations.
