DJ Music platform Beatport has announced it is launching a creative services division, which will be based out of offices in LA and Berlin.
Beatport Creative Services is the latest initiative by CEO and former InGrooves founder Robb McDaniels, who took over at the digital dance music brand in October 2017.
BCS is intended to deepen the platform's relationship with artists as well as brands, who will be able to connect with dance music fans and creators.
The services operation will work with the Beatport ecosystem and brands to promote dance music culture through a variety of programmes. The team will be accessible to Beatport artists and labels as a creative agency.
Beatport will announce the first BCS programmes and partners in Q2 2018.
The creative services team will also strengthen Beatport's presence at electronic music events throughout 2018. It has the backing of parent company LiveStyle, which owns and produces festivals.
"Beatport's sole mission is to help the DJ community make more connections in more places, increasing awareness for the creative talent we have the privilege of working with on a daily basis," said McDaniels. "Beatport Creative Services is a logical way for us to leverage our global footprint to help artists, brands and customers engage in an authentic and meaningful way."
The company recently made internal promotions to its leadership team.
