Tonight (August 4) Tidal is exclusively debuting Damian Marley’s new single Nail Pon Cross. The track is taken from his upcoming fourth studio album, Stony Hill (release date TBC). A video for the song will also debut later this month.
The Jamaican reggae artist’s single adds to the growing list of exclusive content and experiences available for Tidal members.
While Tidal reportedly denied claims that Apple was going to purchase it in July – despite Kanye West tweeting “Apple give Jay his check for Tidal now and stop trying to act like you Steve” at the start of August – the number of subscribers continues to rise. In September, owner
In September, owner Jay Z announced Tidal had hit one million subscribers, a number that’s estimated to sit at around 1.4 million now.
It’s all thanks to involvement with campaigns from The Beatles and Coldplay, plus album exclusives from Rihanna’s Anti and Beyoncé’s Lemonade. Tidal is also the only streaming service offering Prince’s full catalogue of music.
