Leading law firm Russells is moving to Yalding House, Great Portland Street, the original home of BBC Music. Radio 1 broadcast from the building until 2012.
From early January, Russells will occupy two floors of Yalding House, where the new office interiors have been completely redesigned.
Founded in 1974, Russells specialises in entertainment law and represents music industry clients ranging from emerging artists to major stars. It provides an expanding range of services including reputation management, broadcast, family law, a sports law division and the soon-to-be-expanded new technology and social media department.

Mark Ashelford, formerly head of Lee & Thompson's Digital Media Group, has been appointed to head up Russells’ expanded department for new technology and social media.
Peter Mason will be joining the team from music licensing company PPL, where he served as a senior legal & business affairs executive, to run data licensing.
Simon Esplen, managing partner at Russells, said: “We're incredibly excited about the move. We've been expanding as a firm within our current Soho offices and have now outgrown them. There's a lot of young talent amongst our staff, bringing a real enthusiasm to the office. We've always had a reputation for integrity and excellence and I’m determined we will maintain and uphold our culture as part of the move. We'll continue to grow organically and broaden the services that we offer our clients, but we are not changing the essence of the firm.”
