SoundCloud hires Apple Music's Anthony Gabriele for subscriptions and marketing role

SoundCloud has appointed Anthony Gabriele as SVP, subscriptions & marketing.

Gabriele was previously the head of subscription marketing at Apple, where he helped grow Apple Music to over 50 million paid subscribers. He built the organisation that covered marketing technology and and customer insights. 

In the newly created role, Gabriele will lead the growth of SoundCloud’s listener and creator businesses, in addition to overseeing its growth marketing and brand marketing, and community support teams.

He will be based in SoundCloud’s New York office and report to COO Michael Weissman.
