The BPI Innovation Hub returns next month for its latest pairing of record labels and technology firms.
The third edition of the event is staged on September 11 at The Rattle at Tobacco Docks in East London.
Directed by Regent Street Records CEO and BPI Council member Vanessa Higgins, the Innovation Hub matches up tech businesses with record labels and music companies that are looking for creative solutions. Higgins will be speaking at the BPI event ahead of her appearance at the inaugural Music Week Tech Summit at The O2 on September 26.
The latest BPI Innovation Hub will feature an array of tech companies including music and gaming app Play On Player and Airbnb Concerts. Previous participants include the BPI, Runway East, 7digital and Digital Catapult.
In the lead-up to the event, Regent Street Records are releasing a dance track, Plan (Something Good),which will be used as a case study to showcase the label's collaboration with VariPlay and Rotor, two of the companies that have come through the Innovation Hub.
Higgins said: "Now in its third year, it's exciting to see the BPI Innovation Hub grow from strength to strength. The range and variety of technology companies we now work with is astounding, though what is more encouraging is to see real results emerge from the events and behind-the-scenes work, whether that be major labels such as Sony running AR/marketing campaigns with Landmrk, or independent labels like my very own Regent Street Records pushing the bounds of creativity with new apps like VariPlay.

The Rattle is a members’ community space is for artists, producers, entrepreneurs and technologists working in music. Mentors include Imogen Heap and Russell Lissack of Bloc Party.
