YouTube to build on DJ livestreams as 'industry No.1'

YouTube head of music Dan Chalmers has spoken about his ambitions to build its presence in the dance sector following a series of blockbuster DJ livestreams.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, YouTube has worked with dance brands such as Defected, Ministry Of Sound and Tomorrowland, as well as superstar DJs David Guetta, Marshmello, Diplo and Martin Garrix.

Chalmers joined YouTube in early 2020 as head of music, EMEA, following two decades at Warner UK.
