Back in September last year, Matthew Healy looked Music Week in the eye and said he and The 1975 were “on a path towards some kind of greatness”.

So, it turns out, was the PR campaign for his third record.

That quote came during an interview alongside the band’s manager, Dirty Hit and All On Red boss Jamie Oborne, for the cover of our Q4 issue, a bumper package in which the industry shows its wares for silly season.
