AWAL is to host a stage at BBC Music Introducing Live, which is taking place on November 8-10 at Tobacco Dock in London.
The stage will include three days of talks from industry leaders and brands, artist performances and networking for musicians, managers, labels and industry executives.
Session highlights include insights from Spotify’s director of economics, Will Page, as well as conversations between First Access Entertainment’s co-founder & CEO, Sarah Stennett and AWAL CEO, Lonny Olinick, plus Fraser T Smith and Kobalt’s SVP of A&R, Sam Winwood.
“We’re in a new era of music, one where artists have many ways to succeed and more control over their individual path," said Paul Hitchman, president of AWAL. “None of it comes easy, but we believe it all starts with knowledge and awareness for artists. We’ve brought some of the most influential voices leading the charge forward towards what we see as the golden age of music. We’re excited to foster the conversations and thinking needed to inspire the next generation of artists, managers, and music leaders.”
Kobalt’s record label will open its evening programming with a performance from David Gray, who will be previewing music from his forthcoming album. AWAL will also provide a showcase for emerging artists Sarah Close, Maeve, Jaz Karis, Coldabank and Bondax.
BBC Music Introducing Live 2018 will also feature conversations with AWAL artists such as Gabrielle Aplin and You Me At Six.
