Ben Larsen named SVP, international marketing for Warner Bros Records

Ben Larsen has today (March 25) been promoted to senior vice president, international marketing for Warner Bros Records.

Larsen started his Warner Music career nine years ago, when he joined the global marketing team in London. In that role, he oversaw the company’s relationship with Because Music, working on campaigns for artists such as Christine And The Queens, Major Lazer, Justice, Little Dragon, and Django Django. Larsen also worked with Michael Bublé, Bebe Rexha, Gary Clark Jr., Green Day, Linkin Park, and Mac Miller and served as liaison with Ignition Records and 300 Entertainment.

Larsen was most recently WBR’s VP of international marketing. In his new post, based in LA, Larsen will head the international marketing team and will report to WBR co-chairman & COO Tom Corson. The WBR international marketing team consists of Susan Leon (SVP, global artist & label relations), Kate Haffenden (senior director, international marketing), Joe Maddern (director, international marketing), Ashley May and Alex Chandler (managers, international marketing) and assistants Mollie Chen and Bryana Schuyler.

Speaking about the appointment, Corson said: “Since coming on board at WBR, I have been continually impressed by Ben’s deep understanding of both the overall global marketplace as well as the cultures and musical trends that are unique to individual territories around the world. With more global possibilities opening up than ever before, Ben and his team are perfectly positioned to create innovative, boundary-crossing opportunities for our artists. I’m very pleased to welcome him to his much-deserved new post.”

Larsen added: “To be in the middle of connecting our growing roster of exciting new talent and our established superstars with our Warner teams, partners, and fans all over the world is an incredible opportunity. I’d like to thank Tom and Aaron for creating an environment where we can give our artists and their music the care, devotion, and support to have truly global careers. We have an amazing team in place, and we’re all excited to be part of making new history at WBR.”
