There are more changes at Big Machine Label Group, with Michelle Kammerer promoted to senior national director of promotion & marketing at BMLG Records.
Now owned by Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings – a deal which caused a fallout between Big Machine boss Scott Borchetta and Taylor Swift, whose six albums prior to current blockbuster Lover came out on Big Machine – there have been a raft of recent appointments at the Nashville-based company.
Kammerer steps up from national director of promotion & marketing and will continue her work with country stars such as Florida Georgia Line, Brett Young, Lady Antebellum, Danielle Bradbury and Riley Green.
“I am so pleased to announce the very well deserved promotion and long term agreement for Michelle,” said BMLGR SVP of promotion, Matthew Hargis. “She is an extremely talented executive and vital part of the success for all of our artists and team.”
“I am beyond excited to grow in this team and continue this journey with Scott, Jimmy [Harnen, president/CEO of BMLG], Matthew and my entire BMLG family,” said Kammerer. “The level of passion, commitment, creativity and excellence that is achieved on a daily basis within the Big Machine Label Group is unmatched. I am honoured and humbled for this next chapter and cannot wait to see what the future holds for us all.”
Other recent changes at Big Machine include the arrival of Clay Hunnicutt as GM, and the appointment of Harnen as president/CEO. Borchetta is known to be buying new properties in Music Row, suggesting further expansion is imminent. Swift has pledged to re-record her early songs.
