BMG has appointed Albert Slendebroek to run its Benelux repertoire operation, BMG Talpa Music. He takes on the role with the immediate effect.
The appointment comes as BMG CEO Hartwig Masuch discusses the company’s global expansion plans in the current issue of Music Week.
Slendebroek was previously GM of Amsterdam dance label Armada Music and CEO of digital distribution technology company FUGA.
He will work alongside non-executive chairman Tony Berk at BMG Talpa Music to further develop its roster of writers/producers and domestic recordings business, as well as driving Benelux representation of BMG’s international publishing and recording roster.

His early record company roles included MD of Chrysalis Records Germany and MD at PolyGram’s Metronome label, which signed Ace Of Base outside the US.
In 1996, he switched to Warner Music where he spent eight years as managing director of their Benelux operation before becoming CEO of tech start-up FUGA.
Following his work restructuring Armada Music, since 2015 he has consulted for start-ups, lifestyle companies, music and tech companies in Europe and south-east Asia.
