The BPI Council election has taken place during its AGM at the trade body’s HQ.
For the major labels, Selina Webb, EVP, Universal Music UK, and Jo Bartlett, VP corporate communications at Warner Music UK, were newly elected as representatives. They have both attended the BPO Council previously as designated label representatives.
Alice Dyson-Jones, MD of One Media IP, and Nick Hartley, COO & CFO of PIAS Group, were re-elected to represent the independent label sector.
Former BMG exec Pat Carr, founder of Remote Control Agency, was elected for the first time as an independent label representative.
The BPI Council is the key forum for determining BPI policy and activity.
Adam Barker, business affairs director, Universal Music UK and James Radice, SVP and director business and commercial affairs, Warner Music, have stepped down from the Council.
The BPI’s AGM also featured addresses by CEO Geoff Taylor, chairman Ged Doherty, general counsel Kiaron Whitehead and a keynote presentation by Chiara Badiali of music and entertainment sustainability organization Julie’s Bicycle.
