Fuga signs up Fire, Earth, V2 Benelux and Sounday

Digital music distribution and services company FUGA has added UK-based labels Fire Records and Earth Recordings, V2 Benelux and leading Italian distributor Sounday to its fast-expanding roster of international clients.

FUGA will handle global digital distribution for Fire Records' entire catalogue, including fellow independent, but closely related label, Earth Recordings. Earth have been nominated in two categories at Tuesday’s AIM Awards; Best Small Label and Special Catalogue Release of the Year, for Mikael Tariverdiev's Film Music. Alongside Tariverdiev, the fledgling label's impressive roster includes Bert Jansch, The "Inspired" Series, Judy Dyble and more.

FUGA has also picked up the digital distribution for V2 Benelux and its associated labels Butler Records and Excelsior Recordings. V2 licenses artists including Mumford & Sons and Skunk Anansie for Benelux, with its own global roster including Blaudzun, John Coffey and Bombay. Highlights from Excelsior Recordings’ roster include Triggerfinger, Bewilder and Moss, while Butler Records handles artists such as Anneke van Giersbergen, LAMB and Chris de Burgh.

Alongside Fire and V2 Benelux, FUGA has taken on the digital distribution for Italian distributor Sounday, which represents 150 labels, including top Italian dance label Time Records (Hardwell, Alex Gaudino, and Yolanda Be Cool).  Sounday’s catalogue of over 500 000 songs includes repertoire from artists such as Imany, Lost Frequencies and Feder.

Giuseppe Ravello, CEO of Sounday, said: “In line with our business strategy, our partnership with FUGA enables us to increase the value of our assets and develop innovative and scalable services to connect music industry needs with high-tech innovation.”

Chris Boog, Director of V2 Benelux, commented: “We’ve been impressed by the quality of FUGA’s technology platform. With enhanced digital supply chain flows and improved global distribution, we’re excited to integrate FUGA’s technology here at V2 Benelux.”

James Nicholls, owner and director of Fire Records and Founder/Director of Earth Recordings indicated he was impressed from day one. “Aside from the cutting edge technology, we have had incredible, unprecedented support and enthusiasm from the FUGA team, that rivals our own for the music we release.”

Pieter Van Rijn, CEO of FUGA added: "We're delighted to add Fire, Earth, V2 Benelux and Sounday to our growing client base. We are proud of our bespoke technology and dedicated services, and we are sure that our great new partners will greatly benefit from our intuitive, efficient and flexible service."
